LA GORCE RESIDENCE
Set on an exclusive 82,000-square-foot corner lot with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay, this 20,000-square-foot contemporary mansion was designed by renowned South African architecture firm SAOTA. Studio Mc+G Architecture serves as Architect of Record, overseeing coordination, permitting, construction administration, and the development of construction documents to bring the vision to life. The residence’s striking curvilinear form and bold tectonic expression are complemented by a thoughtfully designed landscape by Kurisu, known for integrating nature and architecture through the lens of Japanese design. The gardens feature bamboo groves, vibrant vegetation, and a serene meditation hut that enhances the home’s atmosphere of tranquility and retreat. Together, the architectural and landscape elements establish a harmonious dialogue between structure and site, resulting in a refined, sculptural home that embodies both luxury and serenity.
