Both homes on adjacent lots on Alton Road were commissioned by the same client. The wood vertical cladding on the southern residence replicates the surrounding trees and abstracts the vernacular bris soleil into extensions of the slabs that form the balconies.

The design for the north residence emphasizes the use of breezeblock, a cost-efficient, beautiful modular material vernacular to the region.
